Wild lavender

It is a plant aromatic – pharmaceutical and apart from its use as a drink it is also widely used as an essential oil. It is used in perfumery, soap making and pharmaceutical industry. Its flowers are placed in cupboards, scent them and eliminate moth. It is also known as French or Spanish Lavender.

Collection: It blossoms from May to early June. It is collected toward the end of its blossoming when its petals have started to wilt.

Properties: This herb has antiseptic, bactericide, emmenagogue, analgesic, relaxing, sedative, anticonvulsant, hypotensive, mycolytic, tonic, stimulating, perspirating, cholagogue, anti-rheumatic, anthelmintic action and also it works as poison antidote. It acts against cough, asthma, whooping cough, influenza and laryngitis.

Attention! In great doses, wild lavender may be toxic and irritating
