Pelitena Domos

Aroniadika is centrally located on the island of Kythira, at the crossroads of the two main roads to the North and South. It is an old, preserved settlement of the 16th century with many traditional restored houses and impressive ruins.

Pelitena Domos is a beautiful, spacious two floor residence with tile roof, vaults, courtyard and two verandas at the 1st floor. It is a very comfortable holiday home for a maximum of eight guests.

The house was fully renovated both internally and externally in 2021.

The Pelitena Domos house is conveniently located in Aroniadika, at the NE side of the island and has an unbroken view to fields and nature and at Cavo Malea (Laconia’s south cape on the Peloponnese).

The house has on the ground floor, a total of 3 Vaults /Kamares of at least 150 years old, fully preserved and restored to their original glory, while on the 1st floor there is a beautifully restored apartment with 2 large terraces, built originally in the beginning of the 20th century.

The original elements and architecture of the house such as the thick stone walls, the traditional Vaults /(arches) on the ground floor, the inner drawers, the large external stone staircase and the porolith/tufa stone openings of the house, have been fully preserved and restored to their authentic shape. Importantly in the 1st floor apartment you can admire a traditional wooden Kytherian ceiling.

Your private parking is only 100 meters from the house.

Pelitena Domos has three different apartments, located on two floors. Napi, the largest apartment, is on the first floor and can host four guests. It has two separate bedrooms (one with a double bed and one with two single beds), a bathroom and a spacious, completely equipped kitchen / dining room (dishwasher, washing machine, combination oven and hob). At the front and next to the kitchen at the back, there are partly covered and spacious verandas where it is wonderful to relax, any time of the day.

The two other apartments, Pelor and Lida, are located on the ground floor, connected with each other by an interior door (if you prefer, the apartments can be separated by a soundproof door). Each apartment has a separate bedroom with double bed, its own kitchen and bathroom. The kitchens of both apartments are equipped for preparing a simple meal. If you are with four guests, then you will stay in both apartments; if there are just the two of you with a “homey ”mood, then we recommend a stay in the more spacious apartment Lida with the living room and fireplace. In addition to this, both from the living room and the kitchen, you will have access to your spacious terrace with bougainvillea and mulberry trees. If you simply want a comfortable apartment with its own space in the garden, we recommend the PELOR apartment.

Pelitena Domos can be rented as a complete house (maximum of eight guests) or per floor (maximum four guests per floor).
