The location

Kalamos is a quiet sparsely populated village on the south side of the island with houses scattered among olive trees. It is located very close to the capital of the island Chora (5.5 km), the cosmopolitan Kapsali (5 km) and the well-known beaches of Chalkos and Firi Ammos (3 km).

The rooms

The “Filio” rooms consist of four double rooms. They have all the necessary amenities for a pleasant stay. On the spacious elevated terrace, you can enjoy the peaceful sunset during afternoon with a view to the landscape of reeds and olive groves.

All rooms have daily cleaning, welcome basket with local products, comfortable double bed, air conditioning, toilet, smart TV, free internet access, hot water, fridge and fully equipped kitchen. There is also a free parking space in the area for your car.

Where to eat

Both of Mrs. Filio’s children were involved in the local cuisine. Nikos owns “Filio” tavern, which is located hundred meters from “Filio” rooms. There you will taste the traditional cuisine of Kythira in one of the most beautiful courtyards of the island. Giota owns the fish tavern “Alatarea” in Kapsali next to the golden sand where you can enjoy fresh local fish and seafood delicacies.

How to come

To get to Filio rooms from Diakofti port (30 km) or airport (22 km) follow the signs to Chora/Kapsali and once you reach the village of Livadi turn left for Kalamos. When you enter Kalamos follow the signs for Filio rooms.
